Partly. The similarity check finds word-for-word overlap with your other saved documents and reference texts you paste in. If the operator has enabled it, "Check the internet" also spot-checks a few short excerpts against the web and scholarly papers. Neither is a full plagiarism scan, so neither can show that a text is original. Use a dedicated service for that, and always cite your sources.

Not for rewriting or the writing and similarity checks: those run on the server hosting this application. Optional third parties are whoever delivers e-mail (sign-up confirmation and password reset) and, only if the operator enables it and you press "Check the internet" and confirm, a search service that receives a few short excerpts. When no safe rule applies, the engine deliberately leaves the sentence alone and lists it as unchanged. Try another style or a higher intensity.

No. These are protected and restored exactly. Every rewritten sentence is also checked against the original, and reverted if the check fails.

Add it to "Do not change" in the workspace, or to your dictionary page. It is then protected in every document.

Conservative makes minimal changes. Balanced adds moderate phrase and sentence-structure changes. Substantial applies more rules where they can be applied safely.

Yes. Export any document as TXT or DOCX, and delete documents or your whole account at any time from your account page.
